Mission Shakti organises Free Medical Camp at Nagrota

JAMMU, Jan 21: Mission Shakti, District Hub for Empowerment of Women, Jammu, Department of Social Welfare, organised a Free Health Check up Camp at Nagrota in collaboration with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital and JKNRLM to enhance access to quality healthcare, particularly for women.
A specialised team of doctors from SMVDNS Hospital-Dr Ankita Sharma (Internal Medicine), Dr Anu Bala Chandel (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) and Dr Malvika Sharma (Ophthalmology)-along with paramedical staff, provided general health check-ups, blood pressure and blood sugar screening, specialist consultations and free medicines to the beneficiaries.
Mission Shakti stated that such outreach programmes play a crucial role in promoting early diagnosis, preventive care and health awareness, thereby reducing the burden of untreated illnesses in rural and semi-urban areas. The initiative reflects Mission Shakti’s continued commitment to women’s welfare and community-based healthcare services. The camp witnessed large participation from local residents and adjoining areas.
