Govt employees instigating youth to join terrorism be dealt strongly: Balbir

STATE TIMES NEWS

JAMMU: To end terrorism completely in Jammu and Kashmir, there is an urgent need to crackdown on network of terrorism sypathisers with a strong hand.
It has become all the more important in view of the reports of government employees in Kashmir working to brain wash the young students and prepare them to involve themselves in anti-national activities.
This was stated by Spokesperson of Jammu and Kashmir BJP, Balbir Ram Rattan, while expressing grave concern over the involvement of some government employees of the Education Department, who have brought bad name to the noble profession of ‘Teacher’ by involving themselves in activities of teaching ‘Jehadi’ and ‘Talibani’ syllabus to the students with a motive of pushing them towards terrorism rather than imparting quality education to excel and lead a dignified life. Balbir said that such practice in government schools in some parts of Kashmir is very shocking and deep investigation need to be carried out to identify all such elements to break the terrorist-local nexus.
Terrorism cannot survive without the local support. It is like fish out of water and hence the decision of the government to weed out those employees who has been playing the dual role of government servant as well as sympathiser of anti national forces is a welcome step.
The most notable and those who have been removed from the service are two sons of Syed Salahuddin, who heads globally banned terrorist organisations and his sons were enjoying fruits of being government servants and drawing salaries from the national exchequer.
As has been brought out, they were actively involved in terror funding and terror financing.
With such people in government service, how can terrorism be brought to an end, questioned Balbir.
The Spokesperson further said that while on one hand, security forces are sacrificing their lives for the safety of the motherland, on the other, there are such black sheep, who support terrorism, the nation’s enemy.
There is no place for such people in patriotic society, he added.
Balbir also advised the parents in Valley and elsewhere to keep watch on the activities of their school going children and ensure that they do not fall into the trap of anti national elements.
