Jammu, Jan 29: Mission Shakti District Hub for Empowerment of Women, Jammu, Department of Social Welfare organised a free eye check-up camp at, Pallanwala , Khour in collaboration with Sharp Sight Eye Hospital, Gandhinagar.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local community, with residents availing themselves of comprehensive eye examinations conducted by a team of experienced ophthalmologists and trained paramedical staff from Sharp Sight Eye Hospital.
The medical team carried out vision screening, refraction tests, and preliminary diagnosis of common eye ailments, while also providing expert guidance on eye care, hygiene, and the importance of early detection of visual disorders.Special emphasis was laid on identifying refractive errors among locals and creating awareness about lifestyle-related eye problems caused by excessive screen time.
The initiative reflects Mission Shakti Jammu’s unwavering commitment to community welfare and health outreach, particularly in strengthening access to quality healthcare services at the grassroot level.
