JAMMU, Jan 30: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) has reaffirmed its academic distinction by being ranked among the top 100 local chapters in the NPTEL rankings for July-December 2025, earning an esteemed AA rating nationally and retaining its position as the leading institution in J&K.
Prof. Amit Kant Pandit received the award at the SPOC felicitation ceremony at IIT Kanpur.
A handout stated that this accomplishment reflects the University’s steadfast commitment to deliver quality education, guided by the implementation of National Education Policy under the leadership of Prof. Pragati Kumar, Vice Chancellor SMVDU.
Prof. Kumar expressed his appreciation to all the members of the University for their contributions in this regard.
The steady improvement in the University’s rankings and contributions underscores the collaborative efforts of its faculty, students and staff.
Prof. Amit Kant Pandit, SPOC and Prof. Sumeet Gupta, Swayam Coordinator at SMVDU, also offered their congratulations to the University community, noting the significant contributions of both students and faculty in achieving this recognition within the top 100.
