Pegasus FC clinches 1st Jammu Gold Cup

JAMMU, Jan 31: Pegasus FC emerged victorious in the final of the inaugural Jammu Gold Cup, organized in memory of Late Mehar Singh in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council. The thrilling encounter saw Pegasus FC defeated Hero FC by 1-0, thanks to a decisive goal by Yasir in the 80th minute.
The first half ended in a goalless draw, but Yasir’s strike in the second half secured the win and crowned Pegasus FC the champions of this maiden edition.
The final was graced by Nuzhat Gul, Secretary of the J&K Sports Council, as the chief guest, along with guest of honour Sohail Quazmi. The event also saw the presence of notable personalities, including international footballer Ramesh Chandra, former SSP Jeevan Sharma, and organizing members Rajesh, Kuldeep Singh, among others.
The match was officiated by referees Dheeraj Meenia, Karthik, Ricky, and Abhishek Chanda, who ensured a fair and exciting contest.
