JAMMU, Feb 4: State vice president NC Women Wing, Bimla Luthra has asked her party women workers to intensify their efforts for the forthcoming Panchayat election in J&K.
Addressing a gathering of NC women workers today in Udhampur, Luthra criticized the previous government led by BJP for its failure to deliver basic amenities in rural areas.
She pointed out lack of development and public welfare initiatives under BJP administration, which has adversely affected the lives of people in villages and far-flung areas.
The NC leader said that initiatives of Omar Abdullah led Government were aimed at empowering the women through skill development, financial assistance and employment generation programmes, paving the way for a more secure and progressive future for younger generation.
After listening to the various public grievances patiently Luthra assured that the concerns would be addressed on priority and necessary steps would be taken to resolve the issues.
Those who were present on the occasion were Sapna Gill, Block president Jammu East Women Wing, Sunita Mehra, Radha Rani, Rano Devi, Nisha Devi, Jayda Akther and others.
