RAMBAN, Feb 4: An army-man died on the spot after his vehicle skidded off the Sawani link road and fell on Srinagar bound tube of National Highway 44 this evening.
According to Police, the ill fated car was bearing registration number JK14G-5411 and was on its way towards Sawni when the accident took place.
The deceased was identified as Sohan Singh, son of Bihari Lal, resident of Maada, Tehsil Chenani, District Udhampur and he was driving the car.
Sources informed that Sohan Singh was a serving army personnel and was going to attend a marriage function,
Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
SHO Police Station Chanderkote, Inspector J.S Rakwal informed that body of the deceased was sent to the mortuary of District Hospital Ramban for post-mortem examination and other legal formalities.
