DODA, Feb 5: SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta today chaired a comprehensive review meeting with all Gazetted Officers and Station House Officers (SHOs), to review the goals and targets set for the year 2025-26 and assess their implementation on the ground. Main focus was on the elimination of traces of terror structure in the district and assessing the overall performance on crime front.
Officers from the far-flung Sub-Division of Gandoh, SHO Police Station Dessa and SHO Police Station Assar attended the meeting virtually, while officers stationed at Bhaderwah and District Headquarters attended the meeting in person.
A detailed Sub-Division-wise review of policing priorities was conducted, focusing anti-terror operations, crime prevention and detection, maintenance of law and order, traffic management, public grievance redressal and community policing initiatives.
Performance of Police Stations and Police Posts was reviewed against the targets fixed for the year.
Detailed presentations on the achievement of goals and targets for the 3rd and 4th quarters of 2025-26 were made by SDPO Bhaderwah/Gandoh, DySP DAR and DySP Headquarters Doda.
SSP Doda emphasized accountability, professionalism and result-oriented policing, directing all officers to work with clear timelines and measurable outcomes.
He instructed the officers to intensify surveillance, with particular focus on religious places, critical installations, identified hotspot areas, enhanced foot patrolling, deployment of Long-Range and Short-Range Patrols and establishment of random/surprise nakas at strategic locations.
Disposal of overall cases, including those registered under the New Criminal Laws, by each Police Station was discussed in detail, with specific emphasis on disposal within the statutory 60 and 90 day time limits. SSP Doda directed the officers to ensure time-bound completion of investigations to deliver speedy justice to the victims.
Progress on CCTNS, e-Sakshya, SIDs and e-Summons was also reviewed. Mandatory utilization of FSL services as per BNSS provisions was emphasized and officers were directed to ensure compliance without fail.
SSP Doda specifically directed that all drug peddlers be identified and strict action taken against them.
