JAMMU, Feb 5: The “Union Budget Conclave: A Pathway to Viksit Bharat 2047” organized by the SGT Global Business School at SGT University, was held here today.
The conclave was organized in partnership with the Federation of Indian Industries (FII).
The event served as a high-level intellectual platform for policymakers and industry veterans to analyze the fiscal policies driving India’s journey toward becoming a developed nation.
The conclave was moderated by Dr Nikhil Monga, Dean of the School of Commerce and Management and SGT Global Business School.
Dr Monga guided the discourse through the complexities of India’s Rs 53.5 Lakh Crore expenditure plan, SGT University has also formally entered into a strategic partnership with the Federation of Indian Industry (FII).
Chief guest Pradeep Gandhi, former MP and Secretary of the All India Ex-MP Association, delivered an inspiring keynote address.
He urged students to transition from a mindset of job seeking to one of job creation, highlighting that the youth are the primary architects who will bridge the gap between today’s economy and the 2047 milestone.
The event featured a distinguished panel of experts who explored the budget’s impact across diverse sectors.
Dr Deepak Jain (president-FII, RBI) and Hitender Mehta (Chairman, International Affairs Committee-FII) discussed global investment prospects and economic resilience.
Meanwhile, Uditendu Verma and Vinod K Bapna highlighted the transformative potential of the RS 40,000 Crore Bharat AI Mission and the projected growth of the automobile sector to 8 million cars by 2030.
Technical and governance perspectives were provided by Manoj Sharma (Senior Assistant Director, SFIO), who addressed corporate transparency, and S K Jain (Ex-Executive Director, IGL), who outlined the transition toward sustainable energy.
Additionally, Dr Shailendra Vyas pointed to the Rs 2,300 Crore Bio-RIDE initiative as a critical catalyst for the biotechnology sector and Yatinder Khemka emphasized the fiscal prudence required to manage the nation’s banking ecosystem in a high-growth environment.
The conclave concluded with a strong call to action for management students to become active participants in the national growth story.
