Punjabi Kavi Darbar organized by JKAACL at R S Pura

JAMMU, Feb 7: Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL), in collaboration with the J&K Religious Tourism, Culture & Heritage, and the Talented Writers Forum, RS Pura (Jammu), organized a Punjabi Kavi Darbar at RS Pura, in which local poets of the area actively participated.
Rajesh Gupta (president, VHP Jammu) was the chief guest on this occasion. Eminent writer, playwright and film maker, Dr Baljit Raina presided over the programme. Rajesh Bittu, chairman, J&K Religious Tourism, Culture & Heritage and other dignitaries were present in the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajesh Gupta elaborated on the importance of organizing such Punjabi literary programmes at the grassroot level.
The poets who participated in the Kavi Darbar included Sarvasish Kaur, Gurnam Singh Arshi, Dr Baljit Singh Raina, Jang S Verman, JPS Azad, Suraj Prakash Ratan, Abhishek Sharma, Ria Sharma, Balkar Singh Deol, Bhupinder Bhargav and Gursaran Singh.
Dr Baljit Singh Raina, in his presidential address, said that we should be proud of our Sanatan culture.
An exhibition of Academy publications was also displayed during the programme under the supervision of the Sheeraza section. Trilok Singh and Vipan Sharma coordinated the exhibition.
The proceedings of the programme and the vote of thanks were conducted by Saran Star, president, Talented Writers Forum, RS Pura.
