Humanity Public School organises programme

JAMMU, Feb 7: Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan organised a 9 Kundi Gayatri Mahayagya to mark the birth anniversary of Late Capt. Gandharab Singh Charak, Founder Chairman of the institution.
The Mahayagya and Pooja were conducted by learned Pandits from Shantikunj, Haridwar. The religious rituals were led by Tarsem Nagar, Zonal Head J&K, Gayatri Parivar, along with Parshotam Sharma, Babloo Sharma, Vikas Gupta, Ramesh Kumar and Ashok Kumar. During the ceremony, the Pandits explained the importance of Yagya and Pooja Archana, emphasising their role in inculcating discipline, moral values and positive thinking in society.
On the occasion, a tribute programme was organised by the teachers and students to honour the life and vision of Late Capt. Gandharab Singh Charak. Students highlighted his inspiring journey as an army officer and social reformer who dedicated his life to the welfare of society. After his retirement from the Indian Army, he realised the need for quality education for children of Bassi Kalan and nearby villages and laid the foundation of Humanity Public School on April 9, 1981.
Rhymes were presented by Mehpreet of Class 4 in Hindi and Arpita of Class 4 in English. A student speech was delivered by Parachi Choudhary of Class 9 in Hindi. The teacher’s address was presented by Nirmal Kour, English Teacher, who highlighted the ideals and values laid down by the founder.
A floral tribute was paid by Chairperson Meera Charak, Principal Gaurav Charak, Vice Principal Anku Charak, Hr. Sec. Incharge Parsidh Singh Billowria, Senior Wing Incharge Namrata Sharma, Primary Wing Incharge Vandana Sharma, Pre-Primary Wing Incharge Aparna Billowria, IT Incharge Varinder Kumar and Sports Incharge Mahan Singh.
Langar was also served to students and staff. The programme concluded with a pledge by students to follow the path of discipline, dedication and service envisioned by Late Capt. Gandharab Singh Charak.
