JAMMU, Feb 9: Martand Singh, Director, Amar Singh Sports & Youth Initiative today called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and briefed him on wide range of programs aimed at promoting sports and youth empowerment under the initiative.
He said the initiative seeks to provide scholarships and resources to aspiring sportspersons and facilitate greater participation of youth from J&K in sports at the national level.
Martand Singh further informed the Lieutenant Governor that the Amar Singh Sports & Youth Initiative would, in future, also work in the areas of skill development and sports education.
He also apprised the LG of the renovation and upgradation works currently being undertaken at the Museum in Amar Mahal under the aegis of the Hari Tara Charitable Trust.
On behalf of the Trustees of the J&K Dharmarth Trust, Martand Singh expressed his gratitude to the Lieutenant Governor for his personal intervention and the support of his administration in the reconstruction and restoration of ancient Hindu temples by the Dharmarth Trust, particularly those located in Gulmarg and Pahalgam.
Martand Singh also highlighted Lieutenant Governor’s continued encouragement and support for sports and youth initiatives.
