Six-show series of play ‘Aap Hamare Hain Kaun’ concludes

JAMMU, Feb 10: The six-show series of the acclaimed play ‘Aap Hamare Hain Kaun’ concluded here today.
The series began on February 6 and witnessed an overwhelming response from theatre lovers, students, parents and intellectuals.
Written and directed by Padmashree Balwant Thakur, play ‘Aap Hamare Hain Kaun’ has been selected for presentation at the world’s largest international theatre festival. Before leaving for the global event, Natrang exclusively organised six special shows for Jammu audiences.
The series was presented with the support of Jal Jeevan Mission, North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala and J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages.
Two prominent educational institutions of Jammu, Delhi Public School and KC International School, extended their support by ensuring that their students experience this theatrical production.
IIM Jammu also hosted one show of this play.
Speaking on the conclusion of the series, Director Balwant Thakur expressed gratitude to the audiences and supporting organisations for their enthusiastic response and continuous encouragement.
The play ‘Aap Hamare Hain Kaun’ presents a compelling critique of the growing materialism, consumerism and unrestrained ambition shaping modern society.
The artists who performed in the play were Aanandita Dutt, Samaeira Raina, Dwijesh Dutta, Aadhwika Gupta, Mahira Gupta, Anmol Sharma, Advik Sharma, Ruhaan Chandan, Kavish Sharma, Rishaan Marhatta, Suhani Sareen, Priyal Ashok Gupta, Supria Gorka, Aarohi Singh, Aaradhaya Thakur, Sachetas Anand, Araiya Shan and Gautam Bhagat. Music for the play was composed by Suraj Singh, rhythmic support by Rakesh Kumar, Neeraj Kant served as Production Head while the series was coordinated by Pawan Verma, Kushal Bhat and Kananpreet Kaur.
Last show of the series also witnessed a special felicitation ceremony honouring the young artists for their outstanding performances and dedication.
