JAMMU, Feb 10: The Indian Institute of Management Jammu inaugurated the Leadership Skills for Managers – Trekking-based Management Development Programme (MDP) for managers of NTPC.
The programme uniquely integrates trekking-based experiential learning with structured leadership and managerial training, creating an immersive and reflective environment aimed at strengthening leadership capabilities, resilience, teamwork, and strategic thinking among participants. The training programme comprises 36 participants from different parts of the country.
The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Prof Jabir Ali, Dean, Faculty and Research, IIM Jammu; along with Prof Sanjeev Pathak, Chairperson, Executive Education and Consultancy, IIM Jammu. Prof Ravij Seth, Program Director, IIM Jammu; and Dr Vinod Durge, Programme Director graced the momentous occasion.
Addressing the participants, Prof Jabir Ali highlighted how the integration of trekking with classroom learning and interaction with young minds enriches the overall learning experience. He emphasized that such programmes provide valuable insights for technical professionals.
In his address, Prof Sanjeev Pathak shared insights into the vision and scope of Executive Education and Consultancy at IIM Jammu. He emphasized that the programme is meticulously designed to enhance strategic thinking and managerial perspective.
Dr Vinod Durge provided an overview of the program, outlining the structure and objectives of the sessions planned during the MDP.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Prof Ravij Seth. The training programme is being coordinated by the Executive Education and Consultancy, Indian Institute of Management Jammu.
