COVID-19 SoPs: 3,521 violators fined across Kashmir valley

SRINAGAR: Continuing its efforts to curb outbreak of 2nd wave of Coronavirus, during the last 24 hours Police realised fine to the tune of Rs 4,51,530 from 3,521 people throughout Kashmir valley for violating various guidelines/ rules/ SoPs regarding COVID-19. Besides, 4 vehicles were also seized in Shopian for violating COVID-19 guidelines.
The special drive against the violators of COVID-19 guidelines/ rules continued throughout all the districts of Kashmir Valley to ensure that people adhere to SOPs/guidelines envisaged by the government to curb COVID-19 pandemic. Moreover, Police in Kulgam along with Revenue officers conducted market checking and realised fine to the tune of Rs 3800 from shopkeepers for violating Government orders/ COVID-19 norms.
Community members are once again requested to cooperate with the Police in containing the spread of Coronavirus by following SoPs/ guidelines/ protocols for their own safety and for the safety of others. The special drive shall continue throughout all districts of Kashmir Valley to strengthen the safety measures.
