JAMMU, Feb 11: Planning, Development and Monitoring Department has ordered the promotion of two Joint Directors of the Economics & Statistics (Gazetted) Service as Directors, with immediate effect.
As per the Government order in this regard, Mohd Iqbal and Yoginder Katoch have been promoted to the post of Director in the J&K Economics & Statistics (Gazetted) Service in the Special Scale of Level-13 (Rs 1, 23,100-Rs 2, 15,900).
The promotions were approved on the basis of the recommendations of the Establishment-cum-Selection Committee meeting held on December 18, 2025 under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary and the subsequent decision of the Council of Ministers dated January 22, 2026.
According to the order, both the officers will continue to work at their present places of posting till further orders. The Government has also transferred one post of Director (Planning) from the overall cadre strength to the Home Department for the purpose of drawal of salary of Yoginder Katoch.
