KATHUA, Feb 12: The residents of Nagari here today staged a protest demonstration against the continuous attacks on shopkeepers and other locals by burglar and miscreants.
Many protesters including women blocked Nagari road and hindered traffic movement.
The protestors claimed that burglars attack shopkeepers during night and loot the cash and other valuables while the addict people are also active in the area.
They further said that the area is connected with nearby Punjab and criminal easily move creating nuisance.
The protesters were demanding strict action against the criminals.
Additional SP, Rahul Charak reached the spot with cops and pacified the protesters.
