JAMMU, Feb 13: In an exciting opening day of the Men’s U-23 CK Nayudu Trophy at JKCA Hostel Ground, Goa posted a competitive 286 in their first innings against a disciplined Jammu & Kashmir bowling attack.
Goa’s innings was anchored by Shantanu Nevagi, who smashed a fearless century, scoring 104 off 111 balls with 18 boundaries. Key contributions came from Dishant Misquin (49* off 7 fours) and Chittem (47 with 6 fours and a six), while Kaushal Hattangadi (22) and Aditya (20) provided stability during the middle overs.
J&K’s bowling was led by left-arm spinner Vishal Kumar, who delivered a sensational 6/90 from 28.5 overs, dismantling Goa’s batting lineup with precision. Fellow left-arm spinner Sarvishish Singh supported brilliantly, taking 3/63 in 29 overs, while pacer Basit Bashir claimed 1 wicket.
