JAMMU, Feb 16: Jammu is set to host the 1st Jambu Lochan T20 Open (Men) Cricket Championship from April 1 to April 15, 2026, at MA Stadium. Organised by the J&K Master Games Association (JKMGA), the 15-day league-cum-knockout tournament aims to provide a competitive platform for emerging cricket talent in the region.
As per handout issued the championship will feature 16 teams, selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Each team will play three league matches before progressing to the knockout stage. The entry fee for each team has been fixed at Rs 30,000.
Attractive prizes have been announced. The winning team will receive Rs 1 lakh and a trophy, while the runner-up will get Rs 50,000 and a trophy. Individual achievements will also be recognised, including Man of the Series (Rs 5,000) and Best Batsman and Best Bowler (Rs 3,000 each). Each match will have a Man of the Match award. Organisers assured professional arrangements, including cricket balls and refreshments. Players participating in Ranji Trophy or other JKCA/BCCI tournaments will not be eligible.
