JAMMU, Feb 16: In a significant step towards strengthening civic infrastructure, Vikram Randhawa, MLA Bahu constituency, today kick started the construction of a lane and drain along with RCC slab and other allied development works in Ward No. 48.
The project, which fulfills a long-pending demand of the local residents, is expected to greatly improve sanitation, drainage, and overall living conditions in the area. The initiative reflects the MLA’s firm commitment to transforming Bahu constituency into one of the best and most developed constituencies through planned and people-centric development.
The inauguration was carried out in the presence of officials from the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and local dignitaries, including Mandal president, Surjeet Singh along with his Mandal team, and witnessed a large gathering of local residents.
While speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that development is not just about construction, but about improving the daily lives of people. He emphasized that every Ward of Bahu constituency will see equal attention and progress. He further added that his mission is to provide clean surroundings, proper drainage systems, better roads, and modern civic facilities, making Bahu a model constituency in Jammu & Kashmir. He assured the public that all pending works will be taken up in a phased manner and completed on priority.
Residents of Ward No. 48 expressed immense satisfaction and gratitude, stating that the completion of this long-awaited project will bring much-needed relief and convenience to the area. They appreciated the proactive and dedicated approach of the MLA in fulfilling their demand.
