NDA announces Bal Sansad at ‘The Shri Ram Universal School’

JAMMU, Feb 17: To nurture democratic values, leadership skills and responsibility among young learners, Nations Development Association (NDA) will organise Bal Sansad (a child-centric civic awareness programme).
In a press conference here today, Sushil Singh Charak, Chief Functionary NDA, stated that Bal Sansad has been conceptualized to introduce children to the basic principles of democracy, constitutional values and civic responsibility in an age-appropriate and engaging manner.
He informed that the programme will be held on February 25, 2026 at The Shri Ram Universal School, Jakh, in collaboration with MY Bharat, Government of India. The initiative is designed for the children in 5 to 7 years age group.
Shivani Vaid Sharma, Chief, Women Wing, NDA, stated that early exposure to participatory platforms plays a crucial role in building confidence, developing communication skills and leadership qualities among the children.
Tarun Uppal, chairperson, Nirbhay Bharat Foundation said that initiatives like Bal Sansad are instrumental in shaping socially aware and responsible future citizens. The organizers informed that all participating children will receive Participation Certificates from MY Bharat while the outstanding performers will be honoured with awards for their performance and participation.
The programme is powered by The Shri Ram Universal School, Jakh and supported by Nirbhay Bharat Foundation, Prayaas and Bhumitr Foundation.
Others present in the press conference were Bhoomi Thapa, Anuttam Gupta and Happy Sharma.
