DODA, Feb 20: Appointment of Imam at a mosque in Upper Bhelli, Arnora area here triggered a clash between two groups of the same religion wherein one group was objecting the appointment.
However, cops immediately intervened and controlled the situation from escalation.
“Police has registered an FIR in this regard under relevant sections of the law and started investigation,” SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta informed adding that cops have also seized the CCTV footages for probe.
He urged the people to stay away from rumours.
The SSP said that all those responsible and involved in the wrongdoing will be booked and brought to justice.
