JAMMU, Feb 20: The winners of the Khelo India Asmita Women League (North Zone), recently held at the University of Jammu, met Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today. The interaction celebrated their outstanding performance and selection for the upcoming National Khelo India Women League in Chennai from March 25-28, 2026.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah congratulated the players and assured full Government support, appreciating efforts to promote women’s participation in sports across the Union Territory. The occasion was also attended by Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, Advisor to CM Nasir Ahmed Wani, and MLA Gulmarg Farooq Ahmed Shah, who extended their best wishes to the athletes.
Representing the Kickboxing Association of J&K, Abhishek Jain, General Secretary, and Gourav Chopra, Vice President, along with team coaches and players, expressed gratitude for the encouragement and support. The meeting concluded on a positive note, motivating the athletes to excel at the national level and bring laurels to Jammu & Kashmir.
