Chandru Lamani, BJP MLA from Shirahatti in Gadag, was caught by Lokayukta police allegedly accepting a Rs 5 lakh bribe during a raid at his Balaji Hospital in Laxmeshwar. Acting on contractor Vijay Pujar’s complaint over an 11% commission demand, police detained Lamani and his aides, who allegedly tried to dispose of cash.
