Randhawa initiates crates work in Chaata to prevent damage from floods

JAMMU, Feb 22: Continuing his commitment towards strengthening infrastructure and addressing public grievances, MLA Bahu, Choudhary Vikram Randhawa today initiated crucial crates work in Chaata area under the Flood Control Department to prevent damage caused during the rainy season.
The work aims to provide protection to vulnerable areas that have been facing severe issues due to water overflow and soil erosion during heavy rains. This long-pending demand of the local residents has finally been addressed, bringing much-needed relief to the people.
The initiative was carried out in the presence of officials from the Flood Control Department, including AEE and JE, ensuring proper execution and quality of the work.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Mandal President Surjeet Singh along with his team, District General Secretary Kulveer Charak, and a large number of local residents who gathered to witness the commencement of the work.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Randhawa reiterated his commitment to holistic development of the Bahu constituency and assured the public that all genuine demands will be addressed on priority. “Chaata area has been facing serious problems during the rainy season due to water overflow and soil erosion. This crates work is a necessary step to protect lives, property, and infrastructure of the residents. Our priority is to provide permanent and practical solutions to such long-standing issues,” he said.
He further added: “Development is not just about new projects, but also about strengthening vulnerable areas and preventing damage before it occurs. I assure the people of Bahu constituency that every genuine issue will be addressed on priority and no area will be neglected.”
The local residents expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the MLA for taking swift action and initiating this important work, which will safeguard their area from recurring flood-related damages.
