UDHAMPUR, Feb 23: The Khelo India Women’s Wushu City League concluded at Indoor Hall of Subhash Stadium, Udhampur, with enthusiastic participation from women athletes across the district.
The event was inaugurated by former Director Sports, SMVDSB, Ashok Kumar, who motivated the participants to compete with dedication and sportsmanship. He appreciated the Khelo India initiative for promoting women’s sports and strengthening grassroot-level talent.
Over 200 women players participated in various weight categories. In the Below 24 kg category, Palak won gold, Rubya Akhter silver and Manvi Devi bronze. In Below 28 kg, Vadhie clinched gold, Harshali secured silver and Privanshi took bronze. In Below 32 kg, Aira Sohil bagged gold, Zoya Irshad silver and Ayyat Wani bronze.
In Below 36 kg, Mansha won gold, Mania Rajput silver and Garvita Devi (PPHS) bronze. In Below 42 kg, Purvi secured gold, Manvi Mashi silver and Vanshika bronze. Ayesha claimed gold in Below 46 kg, followed by Myra (silver) and Sunaksham (bronze).
In Below 52 kg, Shreya Yogi secured gold, Afsana Afroz silver and Zeenat bronze. In Below 56 kg, Pratima won gold, Avni silver and Palak Devi bronze. Vaidehi clinched gold in Below 60 kg, while Rajeshwari secured silver and Mehvish bronze.
