DFA Kathua FC beat Sainik Colony Club in goodwill Super Soccer Match

JAMMU: To boost its reach to maximum players of the Union Territory, J&K Sports Council organized a goodwill Super Soccer Match at Sainik Colony Football Ground in Jammu under the floodlights between Sainik Colony Football Club and DFA Kathua Football Club.
Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary, Youth Services and Sports Department graced the occasion as Chief Guest and event was attended by a good number of sports lovers, who were thrilled to watch the game under lights.
With the aim to inculcate the spirit of and goodwill, the match was organized, said Ashok Singh Divisional Sports Officer Jammu and also added that this was a unique event for most of the participants as game was held under flood lights for the first time. The match was played under the control of Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Chief Accounts Officer, J&K Sports Council.
Though Sainik Colony Football Club played well beyond the expectations but it experienced DFA Kathua Football Club won the match by 2-0. The match was officiated by Moon Stiffen, Vijay Kumar, Rinku Gill and Dil Bahadur.
Others present were Narinder Singh Bunty, Corporator, Gurmeet Kour Randhawa, Corporator, Pawan Kumar Deputy SP J&K Police, Kuldeep Singh Vice President JKFA, Surinder Singh Bunt Treasure JKFA, Vinod Kumar, K.K Sharma besides other officials.
The Sports lovers of the other districts hailed the initiative of the Nuzhat Gul Secretary, J&K Sports Council and requested that Kathua District may be also brought on the sports map of J&K to develop Sports Culture which shall pave way for the ethical and moral nurturing of the youth and hence the nation building.
