Kanachak police arrests 2 car jackers, 2 still at large

JAMMU, Feb 26: The Kanachak police has arrested two car jackers today who were among the four people to jack a car from Vijaypur area on February 23, while two others are still at large. The arrest was made by a team of Police Station (PS), Kanachak led by SHO, Manoj Dhar under the overall supervision of SSP Jammu.
Both the arrested jackers were handed over to Vijaypur police in Samba district where from the car was jacked on February 23 by four jackers and taken to unknown place. The jackers, after trashing the driver of the car dragged him out of it and fled away with the vehicle.
Next day the car was recovered from Rajpora area falling under the jurisdiction of Kanachak Police Station in Jammu district in a joint operation by Samba and Jammu police and the manhunt for the arrest of four jackers was also launched.
Out of the four jackers, two were arrested by police today while remaining two are still at large and police is launching raids at various places to arrest them.
