RAJOURI, Feb 26: To address the increasing patient load and shortage of essential assistive medical equipments, Rotary Club (RC) Rajouri here today distributed 12 wheelchairs to GMC & Associated Hospital Rajouri.
The wheelchairs were formally handed over to Principal GMC Rajouri, Dr. A.S Bhatia during a function organised at the hospital.
The initiative was carried out under the leadership of Club President, Vishal Gupta.
Also present on the occasion were Charter President K.K Langer, Club Trainer Ashish Langer, President Elect Dr. Shahid Anjum, Secretary Atul Sharma and members Sudesh Sharma, Rashid Khan, Mohd Shafait, Sandeep Gupta, Ajaz Dar, Zabaid Hussain and Anmol Bhargav.
Speaking on the occasion, representatives of the Club expressed their commitment to support public health institutions and serve the community through meaningful and timely interventions.
A handout stated that the Club continues to undertake various initiatives focused on healthcare, education and social welfare across the region.
