Baldev Sharma kick starts development works in Katra

KATRA, Feb, 26: MLA Shri Mata Vaishno Devi constituency, Baldev Raj Sharma today kick started three major developmental works to further strengthen road infrastructure in the constituency.
The inaugurated projects included blacktopping and construction of road from Buttan to Kundd with a length of 2.6 kilometers.
The road will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 5.77 crore.
The MLA also kick started construction of Retaining Wall (R/Wall) on Aghar Jitto to Temple road at an estimated cost of Rs 9.77 lakh and construction of Protection Wall from Aghar Jitto to Kyoon road at an estimated cost of Rs 12 lakh.
Baldev Raj Sharma, while addressing the public gatherings said these projects will significantly improve road connectivity, enhance safety, and provide better transportation facilities to the local residents. The improved infrastructure will ensure smoother travel, especially during adverse weather conditions, and will contribute to the overall development of the area.
On the occasion, MLA Baldev Raj Sharma reiterated his firm commitment towards accelerating developmental works and fulfilling the long-pending demands of the people of the constituency.
The MLA said he is committed to give complete face lift to holy township of Katra and also leave no stone unturned for overall development of Mata Vaishno Devi Assembly constituency to make it a Model constituency.
The inaugurations were carried out in the presence of Executive Engineer, PWD Katra, Neeraj Gupta, AEE, PWD Panthal Rouf Ahmed, AEE Jugal Sharma along with their staff, DDC Chairman, Katra, Nirmala Devi, BDC Katra, Sham Lal Bhagat, Sarpanch Ravi Sharma, Mahila Morcha president BJP Reasi, Sudesh Sharma, Sardari Lal Dubey, Ranjit Singh, Subash Chander, Jugal Kishore, Sarpanches of the concerned Panchayats, and a large number of local residents were also present.
