STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Students of Government SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu attended Free Internship Programme in Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Rohtak. Girl students of Government SPMR College of Commerce Jammu attended 45 days Internship Programme at Rohtak under the guidance of Dr. Peerzada Muhammad Yousuf, former Director, Higher Education Department Jammu. The Internship began on April 19, 2021. A function was organised on Monday for the four girl students Parneet Kour, Prabjot Kour, Preeti Sharma and Sushma Kumari from Semester VI of the college who attended the internship programme. They said that they learnt about Communication Skills, practical knowledge of working in an organisation besides handling of managerial problems and other aspects of internship. They were able to put their theoretical knowledge gained in college to practical use. Prof Ranjeet Singh Jamwal, Principal of the College congratulated the students for being the first in the college to go for internship to IIM Rohtak. He told the students that the college is proud of them for being brave to complete their internship in such trying times during the COVID-19. He expressed his gratitude to Dr. Peerzada Muhammad Yousuf for his personal initiative to coordinate with IIM Rohtak for providing opportunity to girls students for attending the Internship Programme. Prof. Archana Kaul (Convenor, Manodarpan: Psychological cum Career Counselling Cell), convinced the students to grab the opportunity for the Internship Programme from such prestigious institution.
