SRINAGAR, Feb 27: Jammu & Kashmir Bank today accorded a warm farewell to its two senior officers, Anand Pal Singh and Shabir Ahmad, who superannuated as General Managers after serving the institution for over three-and-a-half decades in various capacities across different regions.
The farewell ceremony was held at the Bank’s Corporate Headquarters in the presence of senior management and staff members.
The function was chaired by MD and CEO Amitava Chatterjee and attended by Executive Director Sudhir Gupta, Chief General Manager Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat, other General Managers, Deputy General Managers and senior officers.
Speaking on the occasion, the MD and CEO appreciated the long and dedicated service of both officers, stating that their commitment, professionalism and leadership significantly contributed to the Bank’s growth and strong institutional culture over the years.
He described their retirement as a moment of pride as well as emotion, as the Bank bids farewell to experienced leaders who have been part of its journey for decades.
He also highlighted that the Bank has already initiated a structured career progression and succession planning process to prepare the next line of leadership.
Emphasizing the fast-changing banking landscape driven by technology, regulatory reforms and evolving customer expectations, he urged middle management officers to equip themselves for higher responsibilities and future challenges.
Executive Director Sudhir Gupta and CGM Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat also extended their best wishes, acknowledging the valuable contribution and team spirit of the retiring officers.
Both Anand Pal Singh and Shabir Ahmad expressed gratitude to the Bank’s leadership and colleagues for their constant support and cooperation throughout their careers.
The programme concluded with the presentation of mementos as a token of appreciation, amid warm wishes for a healthy and fulfilling post-retirement life.
