STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was a South African anti-apartheid revolutionary, statesman and philanthropist who served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. On the theme of International Nelson Mandela Day, Suman Chowdhary of RM Public School (RMPS) on Monday organized an inter-school debate competition for the students of 6th grade under the guidance of the Incharge Gurpreet Kour. Yashika Sharma and Payal Choudhary represented Shiksha Niketan Gandhi Nagar whereas Shiksha Niketan Niketan Jeevan Nagar was represented by Bhoomi Sharma and Swasti Sharma. Suraksha Sharma and Saksham Sharma were the participants from RM Public school. The judge for the occasion, Gagandeep Kour, teacher in DRS Kids was impressed by the students. Saksham Sharma from RMPS was adjudged the winner while Suraksha of RMPS bagged second. Third prize was awarded to Yashika Dogra of Shiksha Niketan Gandhi Nagar and Bhoomi of SNJN. The Director of the School, Rakshan Mengi applauded the students and teachers.
