DC reviews developmental progress in Aspirational Block Marwah

KISHTWAR, Mar 5: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the implementation of the Aspirational Block Development Programme (ABDP) in Aspirational Block Marwah.

The Deputy Commissioner reviewed key performance indicators across the critical sectors, including health and nutrition, education, agriculture and allied activities, basic infrastructure, drinking water, sanitation, financial inclusion and social development.

A detailed sector-wise review was conducted, with discussions focusing on the status of ongoing works, identification of gaps and measures required to accelerate the implementation of different schemes and projects in the block.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the (R&B) department to complete all pending works in the Aspirational Block by March 31, 2026.

The Chief Education Officer was asked to expedite the completion of girls’ toilet facilities in all educational institutions of the Zone, aligning with ABDP.

Further, the Chief Agriculture Officer was directed to take measures for providing micro-irrigation facilities in the Marwah and Warwan areas to enhance agricultural productivity and support farmers.

The CMO was directed to scale up screening for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) and accelerate the generation of ABHA IDs in the block to strengthen healthcare delivery and digital health coverage.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Vinod Kumar Behnal; CPO Akhil Thakur; ACD Manoj Kumar; ACP Neeraj Sharma; CDPO Dr. Kuldeep Kumar; CAO Kushal Chandel; DSHO; CMO Dr. Yudhvir Singh Kotwal; CEO Sanjay Dogra; Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Marwah besides other officers and concerned staff.
