TTD allocates Rs118.89 crore for modernization of educational institutions in 2026-27

TIRUPATI, March 11 : Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has allocated Rs118.89 crore for the comprehensive development of its educational institutions for the financial year 2026-27, with a focus on digital classrooms, infrastructure improvement, and student skill development.
According to TTD officials, the funds will be used to introduce modern technology in educational institutions, strengthen infrastructure, and enhance students’ capabilities through specialized training programmes.
In previous years, excluding salaries, the funds allocated for development works in the TTD Education Department were Rs24.37 crore in 2021-22, Rs39.04 crore in 2022-23, Rs33.08 crore in 2023-24, Rs25.99 crore in 2024-25, and Rs13.08 crore in 2025-26, mainly for building construction and infrastructure improvements.
For 2026-27, the total allocation of Rs118.89 crore has been made jointly by the SV Vidyadanam Trust and TTD to modernize educational institutions and provide improved facilities for students.
During a recent review meeting, N. Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, suggested taking steps to equip TTD-run institutions with modern facilities.
Following these directions, TTD has planned several development initiatives.
Under the new plan, additional classrooms and hostel accommodation will be constructed in schools and colleges managed by TTD.
The institutions will also promote sports, cultural, and co-curricular activities to ensure the overall development of students. Training programmes will also be organised for both teaching and non-teaching staff.
TTD will introduce special coaching programmes for competitive examinations such as the Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE), National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), Chartered Accountant (CA), and the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).
In addition, skill development, vocational, and job-oriented courses will be offered to improve students’ employment opportunities.
Emphasis will be placed on technology-based learning through the establishment of digital classrooms, smart panel boards, computer laboratories, virtual conference facilities, and modern CCTV systems.
A mobile medical unit will also be introduced to provide healthcare services to students.
Special medical facilities will be provided to girl students studying in Sri Padmavathi Women’s Educational Institutions including SPW Junior College, SPW Degree College, and Polytechnic College, with the appointment of the required medical staff.
TTD officials said comprehensive plans are being prepared to further strengthen the education sector under the organisation with modern infrastructure and improved academic facilities.
