JAMMU, Mar 11: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Jammu & Kashmir presented a set of policy recommendations on Ease of Doing Business and Industrial Policy to Atal Dulloo, Chief Secretary, UT of Jammu & Kashmir, during a stakeholders’ conference organised by the Department of Industries & Commerce at the Convention Centre, Jammu.
The recommendations were formally presented by Dr MA Alim, Chairman, CII J&K UT Council, highlighting key industry inputs aimed at simplifying regulatory processes, strengthening industrial infrastructure, and introducing targeted support measures for the industrial sector.
Among the key suggestions were the introduction of self-certification mechanisms and streamlined procedures for Fire NOCs, improving the efficiency and timelines of the single-window clearance system, extending special support to legacy industrial units, and strengthening infrastructure support for industries operating in traditional industrial zones.
Dr Alim also appreciated the Government’s ongoing initiatives to improve the business ecosystem in the Union Territory, particularly the introduction of MSME Clinics and the Auto-DCR system, which are helping streamline approvals and enhance ease of doing business for industries.
