JAMMU, Mar 13: The ongoing 11th Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sub-Junior Men Hockey Championship at KK Hakku Hockey Stadium, Jammu, witnessed two high-scoring matches today.
In the first match, Badal Hockey Club Srinagar defeated Shaheed Bhagat Singh Club 10-0. Owais was the star, scoring six field goals in the 8th, 18th, 20th, 38th, 48th, and 56th minutes. Varun added two goals from penalty corners in the 4th and 45th minutes, while Tanish and Sukhpreet contributed one goal each.
The match was inaugurated by Dr. Taran Singh. In the second match, Guru Nanak Nagar Hockey Club beat Maharaja Ranjit Singh Hockey Club by 8-1. Sivam Mehra and captain Ramandeep scored two goals each, while Mohad, Harmandeep, Tejvir and Gurnur scored one each. The lone goal for MRSC came from Captain Ammandeep Singh in the 6th minute. This match was inaugurated by veteran hockey player and retired banker Iqbal Singh.
