AESL signs MoU with BSF and Indian Army to support personnel and their families

JAMMU, Mar 13: In order to support the welfare of Army personnel and their families, Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the BSF (Border Security Force) and Indian Army, here today.
In accordance with the MoU, Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL) will provide linked scholarships, based on terms of service to its eligible personnel and dependents enrolling in an AESL centre in India.
For BSF Personnel and familes, the scholarship support Includes, only registration/admission fees payable (100% waiver on tuition and other academic charges) for wards of personnel who lost their lives in service, 90% tuition fee waiver for wards of gallantry awardees or personnel with more than 20% disability, subject to required certification, 50% waiver on tuition fee for personnel having less than 20% disability and 20% tuition fee waiver for wards of serving and retired personnel, applicable on tuition fees after other eligible scholarships
For Indian Army Personnel and Families, only registration fee payable i.e. 100% waiver on all other fee components for the wards of personnel who died in service, 100% tuition fee waiver for the wards of personnel with more than 20% disability and gallantry awardees and 20% tuition fee waiver for the wards of serving and retired personnel, applicable after other scholarships are deducted.

Through scholarships, mentoring, and counselling, we aim to ensure that the wards of our heroes are equipped to achieve their fullest potential and become leaders in their own right.”
To facilitate broader access to the above-mentioned support programs, AESL will conduct national scholarship and talent identification assessments, including the Aakash National Talent Hunt Exam (ANTHE) and other similar assessments, at designated Defence School Facilities and/or Aakash Educational Service Ltd (AESL) centres at various locations, thereby ensuring accessibility and convenience to eligible candidates across the nation.
