CBSE Cancels Class 12 Board Exams In Middle East Amid Ongoing Disruptions

New Delhi, Mar 15: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has cancelled the Class 12 board examinations scheduled between March 16 and April 10, 2026, for students studying in CBSE-affiliated schools across several Middle Eastern countries.
In a circular, the Board said the decision was taken after reviewing the feasibility of conducting examinations and considering inputs and requests received from schools and local authorities in the affected regions.
According to the circular, the cancellation applies to CBSE schools located in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
The Board further stated that examinations which had earlier been postponed through circulars issued between March 1 and March 9, 2026, will also stand cancelled for students in these countries.
CBSE said the method for declaring results for Class 12 candidates from the affected regions will be announced separately in due course. The circular was issued by Controller of Examinations Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj. (KNC)
