JAMMU: Police Post Jourian has solved a theft case registered vide FIR No. 235/2025 U/S 303(2) BNS dated 11.12.2025 at Police Station Akhnoor and recovered 50 stolen LPG gas cylinders (Indian brand). During investigation, a suspect namely Zakir Hussain S/o Abdul Majid Shah R/o Kotli Mian Fateh, R.S. Pura, Jammu A/P Gujjar Basti, Belicharana, Jammu was apprehended.
During sustained interrogation, the accused confessed to his involvement in the theft and disclosed the place where the stolen cylinders had been concealed. Acting on his disclosure, police recovered 50 LPG cylinders, which were identified by the complainant on the spot. The Tata Mobile bearing registration No. JK02BD-2805, used in the commission of the crime, has also been seized.
The accused has been formally arrested and further investigation is underway.
