KATHUA, Mar 15: Member Legislative Assembly, Kathua, Dr. Bharat Bhushan today started macadamization work on two roads falling in Nagri Parole in Kathua tehsil.
The macadamization of roads from Toll Plaza Nagri to Nakkian village and from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Chowk Nagri to Khokhyal, Changran was necessitated due to the deplorable condition of both roads and the residents of more than 20 villages and those coming to Kathua from Narote and Bamial side of Punjab will get much needed relief.
Dr. Bharat Bhushan, MLA Kathua while speaking on the occasion apprised that Rs 30 lakh will be spent on both roads macadamization work. He reiterated his commitment for overall development of Kathua constituency in respect of roads, power distribution & provision of drinking water.
The Additional District Development Commissioner, Kathua, Surinder Sharma, tehsildar, Nagri Parole, Ms. Anna Jamwal, BDO Nagri, Pardeep Singh, Mandal president BJP, Ravi Andotra, Senior leader, Ravinder Pathania, former president, Nagri Municipal Committee, Anil Singh, former Mandal president, Arpan Verma and other residents of Nagri, Nakkian, Saidpur villages were present on the occasion.
Earlier MLA kickstarted work of Guest House cum Dormitory in the premises of Shree Mata Bala Sundri Shrine, Nagri at an estimated cost of 1.25 crore.
