SRINAGAR, Mar 16: Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, today chaired a high-level meeting with officers from various Government departments at the Central Office of the Board in Srinagar to review and finalize arrangements for the upcoming Eid al-Fitr and the observance of Shab-e-Qadr across Kashmir.
The meeting was attended by several senior officials representing different departments, including Assistant Commissioner Pulwama Shahbaz Ahmad Bodha, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Ganderbal Dr Salahuddin, Chief Medical Officer Tahir Sajad, Deputy Director Health Services Dr Saba Wani, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Dr Suhail, Deputy SP Traffic Srinagar Mehboob Ahmad, Information Officer DIPR Shabbir Ahmad and Zonal Sanitation Officer Srinagar Municipal Corporation Mohammed Lateef Shah. Waqf Board Executive Magistrate Ishtiyaq Mohiuddin was also present during the meeting.
During the meeting, a comprehensive review of the arrangements being made for Shab-e-Qadr and Eid-al-Fitr at major shrines and religious places across the Kashmir division was carried out.
A roadmap for coordinated action among all departments in collaboration with the Waqf Board management was also deliberated upon, and several decisions were taken to strengthen preparedness and ensure effective implementation of the arrangements.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Andrabi emphasized that the Waqf Board is always tested by the huge expectations of the people during important religious occasions. She said that dedicated teamwork, proper coordination and effective management among all concerned departments are essential provide the best possible facilities to the devotees visiting shrines and other religious sites.
