JAMMU: Hockey Jammu and Kashmir, after a gap of three years, shall conduct the J&K UT Senior Hockey Championship at KK Hakhu Stadium, here from March 24.
Sponsored by J&K Sports Council (JKSC), the event shall involve teams from various districts of the Union Territory as also affiliated departmental units in this mega event.
“Took over in May last, the new body in Hockey J&K has chalked a futuristic plan to raise the level of hockey in the Union Territory by holding regular domestic activities. Special camps are also in the long term plans to groom the talented boys and girls in a way to compete at the National level. The next edition of the J&K UT championship shall be held in Srinagar,” informed general secretary of Hockey J&K, Dr Taran Singh.
