JAMMU, Mar 21: J&K BJP president and MP (Rajya Sabha), Sat Sharma CA addressed an organizational meeting of district Akhnoor.
J&K BJP vice-president, Bharat Bhushan, district president, Akhnoor Kuldeep Sharma, MLA Mohan Lal Bhagat, former Minister Bali Bhagat, former MLA, Rajiv Sharma, and senior leaders including Vinay Mahajan, Daljit Singh Chib, Jagdish Bhagat, and Captain (retd) Daler Singh, among others attended the meeting.
Sat Sharma, while addressing the meeting, directed the party activists to make relentless efforts to connect with the masses and raise their concerns effectively. He said that the BJP envisions a dedicated activists who always keeps the nation first and never compromises on its principles and ideology. He said that India’s rich history and culture have always been a source of pride, but also an “eyesore for many forces,” both globally and within the country.
Sharma criticized political parties like Congress, which are attempting to weaken the nation from within by spreading misleading narratives. He asserted that the BJP remains committed to strengthening the nation under the decisive leadership of Narendra Modi.
Kuldeep Sharma emphasized strengthening booth-level structures and maintaining constant engagement with the public.
Mohan Lal Bhagat highlighted the importance of public outreach and ensuring that Government schemes reach the last beneficiary, asking party leaders to act as a bridge.
Meanwhile, Sat Sharma inaugurated a two-day Kissan Mela organized by BJP Kissan Morcha in memory of the late social leader of Jammu, Master Sohan Lal, on his 20th death anniversary at Baba Kailakh Dev Asthan, Thathar, Bantalab.
The Mela, organized by Sunil Sharma (Rakka), general secretary, BJP Kissan Morcha, witnessed enthusiastic participation from farmers, BJP leaders, social activists, and local residents features a wide range of farmer-related products including agricultural tools, seeds, medicinal plants, and local produce.
BJP district president, Nand Kishore, MLA Devyani Rana, and senior leaders Ayodhya Gupta, Rajinder Singh Chib, Omi Khajuria, Dil Bahadur Singh Jamwal, TK Sharma, and others were present on the occasion.
Sat Sharma, while addressing on the occasion paid rich tributes to Master Sohan Lal, recalling his selfless service to society. He said that Master Sohan Lal was a symbol of compassion and dedication, who always stood with the needy and distressed, even with limited resources. His life is an inspiration for all of us to serve society with sincerity and commitment, he said.
Sat Sharma, highlighted the efforts of the PM Narendra Modi-led Government, emphasizing that farmers are at the core of India’s development agenda. He stated that several landmark initiatives such as Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), soil health cards, and increased MSP have significantly strengthened the economic condition of farmers.
Nand Kishore Sharma also spoke on the occasion and paid tributes to master Sohan Lal.
Devyani Rana also lauded the initiative and said that the BJP Government is consistently working to uplift farmers by promoting modern agricultural practices and ensuring better market access. She reiterated that continuous outreach programmes like these play a crucial role in improving the socio-economic conditions of farmers.
