JAMMU, Mar 21: Celebrating the vibrant culture, traditions and unity of Northeast India, Sharda University, Greater Noida today organized the 9th Edition of the Northeast Cultural Fest “Belliatus Cultura” at the Anand Swaroop Auditorium.,
The event was inaugurated with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by distinguished dignitaries including Y K Gupta, Pro Chancellor, Sharda University, Prashant Gupta, CEO, Sharda Corporation, Priyanka J Gupta, Trustee, Sharda Corporation, Pari Bishnoi, Deputy Commissioner, Sikkim House, Vice Chancellor Dr Sibaram Khara and Dr Rajeev Gupta, along with other eminent guests.
The festival showcased the rich and diverse cultural heritage of the Northeastern states.
Students, dressed in traditional attire, presented captivating performances reflecting the customs, traditions and vibrant spirit of the region.
Participants from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Tripura, Sikkim and Nagaland enthralled the audience with their artistic excellence.
A major highlight of the event was the energetic traditional dance performances by students from Arunachal Pradesh.
The audience was further mesmerized by the vibrant Bihu dance presented by students from Assam, which received resounding applause for its authenticity and grace, accompanied by traditional musical rhythms.
The chief guest, Ashwani Kumar Chand, ADGP-cum-Principal Resident Commissioner, Sikkim House, appreciated Sharda University for organizing such impactful events that promote cultural understanding and national integration.
Addressing the gathering, Pro Chancellor Y K Gupta expressed pride in the students for beautifully presenting the folk arts and cultural richness of Northeast India.
He emphasized that such initiatives contribute significantly to the holistic development of students and strengthen cultural harmony.
