Oneness, harmony crucial for peaceful co-existence: Sadhotra

JAMMU, Mar 23: Additional general secretary of National Conference and former minister, Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today said that maintaining the spirit of oneness and sustaining harmony is crucial for peaceful coexistence, especially in the present-day world marked by conflict and instability.
Interacting with devotees during a Vishal Sant Nirankari Satsang at Ghari in Jammu North Assembly Constituency, Sadhotra emphasized the need of strengthening bonds of brotherhood and mutual respect to build a stable and progressive society. He said the values of unity and compassion have become more relevant than ever in the current global scenario.
“In the present times, when divisions and conflicts are increasing, it is imperative for society to uphold the spirit of oneness and work collectively for peace and harmony,” he added.
Sadhotra called upon people to inculcate the highest moral values and tread the path of righteousness to effectively meet contemporary challenges. He said adherence to ethical principles and spiritual teachings can guide individuals and society towards a more peaceful and balanced way of life.
“Strong moral foundations and righteous conduct are essential for overcoming difficulties and ensuring lasting peace. We must draw inspiration from spiritual teachings to create a more harmonious society,” he said.
Highlighting the role of spiritual congregations, Mr Sadhotra said such gatherings provide an opportunity for people to reflect on the core values of life and strengthen their commitment to humanity. Spiritual platforms like these help reinforce the message of love, unity and selfless service, which are vital for social cohesion, he added.
Sadhotra said that peace and harmony are prerequisites for progress and development. He stressed that collective efforts are needed to promote understanding and tolerance among different sections of society. Coexistence can only be ensured when people respect each other’s beliefs and work together for the common good, he said, adding that harmony is the foundation of a prosperous and stable society.
