
Key issues discussed at RSS Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha Meet

JAMMU: The three-day meeting of the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) was held from March 13 to 15 at Samalkha in Haryana, where several important issues including organizational expansion, social harmony, and national participation were discussed in detail. The meeting focused on strengthening organizational work and encouraging the active involvement of constructive forces in society for national development. Emphasis was also laid on promoting social unity and harmony at a time when divisive tendencies based on caste and class pose challenges to societal cohesion.
On the occasion of the 650th birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Satguru Shri Ravidas, a statement by RSS Sarkaryawah Dattatreya Hosabale was presented. It highlighted the relevance of Sant Ravidas Ji’s teachings in fostering equality, dignity of labour, and spiritual values. His life and message were described as a guiding force to counter social divisions and promote unity.
The RSS also announced that various programmes will be organized in the coming year to mark the 650th birth anniversary of Sant Ravidas Ji, encouraging wider public participation and community engagement. The meeting noted significant expansion in RSS organizational activities across the country over the past year. The number of shakhas has increased by nearly 6,000, reaching a total of 88,949, while the number of locations has crossed 55,000. Growth has also been observed in weekly gatherings and mandali activities.
Alongside expansion, the RSS is focusing on qualitative societal transformation through initiatives such as ‘Panch Parivartan’, which aims to promote positive change and strengthen cultural values. The organization reiterated that the concept of Indianness or Hindutva represents a way of life rooted in noble values and collective responsibility. In Jammu and Kashmir, the RSS reported notable growth in its activities. The number of branches in the region has increased from 678 to 735 over the past year. Currently, 394 weekly meetings and 407 Sangh mandalis are active, along with 137 weekly meetings for volunteers above the age of 40. As part of its centenary year celebrations, several major programmes were organized in the region. These included seminars, public discussions, and outreach campaigns. A notable ‘Griha Sampark Abhiyan’ conducted from November 2 to November 30, 2025, established contact with over 4.93 lakh families, with participation from more than 11,000 workers.
Additionally, 745 Hindu Sammelans were organized across Jammu and Kashmir between December 1, 2025, and January 11, 2026, witnessing participation from over 4 lakh people, including men and women, along with thousands of volunteers.
The RSS stated that through these initiatives, it aims to expand its outreach, strengthen dialogue with different sections of society, and enhance social participation across the region.
