YCET hosts campus placement drive, six students selected

JAMMU, Mar 31: Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET), Jammu, organized a successful campus placement drive in collaboration with Shining Stars ITPL for the multinational company Startek, reaffirming its commitment to student career development. The drive was conducted for final-year students of all engineering branches at YCET, along with BCA students from the Institute of Management Sciences (IMS).
The recruitment process was overseen by Puneet Kumar, Senior Manager at Startek, who was welcomed by Prof (Dr) Sanjeev Singh, Director of YCET. The event was efficiently planned and executed under the guidance of Er Dinesh Gupta, Dean Academics and Training & Placement Officer, with coordination support from Er Inderdeep Singh.
A pre-placement talk held in the seminar hall provided students with valuable insights into the company’s work culture, job roles and career growth opportunities. Kumar also guided students on interview techniques, communication skills and industry expectations, making the session highly interactive and informative.
The selection process included multiple stages such as screening, technical, operations and HR rounds to comprehensively assess candidates. Following a competitive evaluation, six students were selected: Arjun Mukesh, Shriya Chib, Arudrika Thukral, Ojaswi Soni, Amit Singh and Sayra Sharma. Additionally, three candidates were placed on the waiting list for a final round next month.
The YCET management appreciated the efforts of the placement team. The initiative reflects the institution’s ongoing focus on enhancing employability and strengthening industry-academia ties.
