UDHAMPUR: Bhaskar Degree College (BDC), Udhampur conducted quiz competition, organised by the department of political science in collaboration with NSS Unit of the college in the college premises in order to celebrate “National Constitution Day”. Principal of college Dr. SK Magotra was chief guest on the occasion, while the staff members of BDC were present to evaluate the performance and the students were present to participate in the competition and show their intellect. Programme was performed by strictly following the COVID-19 protocols. It was further carried with the pledge taken by all the students and staff members. Also, it was started with the inaugural and welcome speech by Dr. S.K Magotra, in which he addressed the gathering and taught them about the constitution and the rights and duties mentioned in it. The topics for the competition were Indian National Movement, Constitution of India, Current Affairs and GK and Culture and Heritage of India with special reference to J&K. Six teams were made, each of 5 students, who participated in the competition with their zeal. Team C won the competition and the students who won are Ravinder Singh, Avish Singh, Sahil Ahmed and Khushbo. Winners of the competition were awarded with the token of appreciation. The entire event was managed by Prof. Narinder Singh and Prof. Pinaki Bakshi. It was anchored by Prof. Narinder Singh and Girish Shandilya and vote of thanks was given by Prof. Pinaki Bakshi.
