J&K reports 182 new Covid cases

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday reported 182 new Covid cases, 33 from the Jammu division and 149 from the Kashmir valley, thus taking the total number of positive cases in the Union Territory to 338745.
Also, one Covid death has been reported from Kashmir Division, officials said.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Jammu has declared Rajinder Nagar Sector-3 and the Greenfield Enclave in Gole Gujral in the Jammu City as micro-containment zones in view of detection of the infection cases.
According to the daily Media Bulletin, out of 338745 positive cases, 1595are Active Positive (418 in Jammu Division and 1177in Kashmir Division), 332659 have recovered and 4491 have died; 2189 in Jammu division and 2302in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 18220012 test results available, 338745 samples have tested positive and 17881267 samples have been tested as negative till date. Besides, 57,363 COVID tests have been conducted in last 24 hours.

According to reports, Ladakh’s tally of COVID-19 cases has increased to 21,792 with 19 fresh infections during the past 24 hours, officials said.
The death toll remained at 215 and of these, 157 deaths have been reported from Leh and 59 from Kargil, they said.
The number of active cases in the Union Territory has dropped to 220 — 202 in Leh and 18 in Kargil — from 237 the previous day, according to the officials.
Of the 19 new cases, 17 were reported in Leh and two in Kargil, they said.
The officials said that 36 patients were discharged from hospitals in Leh, taking the total number of recoveries in Ladakh to 21,357.
